10 Bollywood Songs We Love to Hate !!!

A wise person once told me "Hina, you should never be ashamed of what you listen to". My reaction to that was even if its "Mr. Lova Lova". And yes I am guilty of listening to this track. So this blog is about top 10 Bollywood tracks we all love to hate. So its like this songs plays and we instantly want to skip it, but within 5 seconds you are mumbling its lyrics moving your head and you shudder and look around if someone saw you. But this is subjective, what may be guilty pleasure of one may be a classic for other. Here is my list...

1. Stop that, Meri Baatein Sunkar Dekho Hasna Nahi – Gambler

This is by far the funniest song in Bollywod... Yes... Yes...  Funnier than Ek chatur naar. The lyrics are funny as well as time layered with hard hitting social commentary. Does anyone remember Devang patel ??? 

 2.    Bole Chudiyaan, Bole Kangana –Kabhi Khushie  Kabhi Ghum

I clearly remember this song starting with Waah Waah Ramji from Hum Appke Hai Kaun and then Hrithik Turns towards Kareena and says “Ab hum” and the song follows. Just loved them in this song and the whole energy!!! Its just that later Dharma Productions and Yashraj had better songs in their movies.

 3.    Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Talking of Dharma Productions, more than this song I really enjoyed the timing of this song. She fell in love.. He didn’t.. Not all best friends do everything together … and after 7 years they meet again .. It was Jatin Lalit that adds a little element to this song.

 4.    Gandi Baat – R.Rajkumar

It’s the whole energy of this song that makes you want to listen to it though gandi baat is the most random thing.

  5.    Mr. Lova Lova – Ishq

I gave this away in the beginning. This song was one of my favorites when I was 8 years old. Everyone looks so cute and those dance steps!! Even when I am watching this song after 15 years or so it’s still so much fun!!

 6.    Lungi Dance (Thalaivaa)- Chennai Express

Do lyrics make any sense?? Well, NO...  Are this song addictive and you screaming “Thalaivaa” every time you listen?? Yes, totally.

 7.  Fevicol Se

With Munni Badnaam hui setting the trend and Sheila ki Jawaani, but it was when Fevicol se came and the weird lyrics phase started and it still continues with Kashmir Jaungi Ice cream khaungi.But the beats of fevicol se doesn’t let you skip it.

 8.    Dil Hain Tumhara – Title Track

How to describe this….. Lets take an example of a sandwich in Gujarat. They put a bowl full of cheese on it and it tastes awesome. This song is like that sandwich to me.

 9.    Golmaal - Title track

THAT CHORUS is catchy as hell and Vishal-Shekhar had a pretty crazy run in the mid 2000s.

10.    Keh doon tumhey- DJ Aqueel/  Chod do anchal/ Kya surat hai-Bombay Vikings

Now these three songs aren’t particularly Bollywood numbers but has a very important mark in the life of 90s kid.  Kishore Kumar lyrics.. sick beats and a Russian blonde riding roller skates. How cool was that!!

Sending your selfies to NASA .. Coz you are a star ... Well Ur not ......

At some point of time, I was also guilty of taking too many selfies .. But who isn’t .. I thought its really cool and trendy to click selfies and post them social media, that’s what everyone does.. Until I really gave a thought that is this what I really want .. So here are things one should consider while clicking a selfie or posting them on social media…Some myths that I am gonna burst in my blog … 

 

1. No one actually cares.. Sad but true.. Unless you are on an exotic vacation or on some holiday with your friends nobody really wants to see your picture of your face in 12 different angles no matter how beautiful you are …                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
2. The number of likes on your profile picture is not directly co related to your self worth.. No seriously If you happen to post a selfie you spent 20 minutes getting perfect and no one notice .. What do you do .. Delete the picture???? Well in that case you really need to check your priorities...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
3. No body except for the ones shown in movies wake up looking all pretty.. Come on we all know this and have been through this... You did not #Wakeuplikethat ..                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
4.       Selfies  do portray  self confidence .. For some men yes .. A girl who is comfortable to take photos of herself and post them on social media shows confidence while to many it simply means she needs too much of attention .. Infact when some men were asked they would simply say “Selfies are less about guys and more about girls. It's like this thing they do to impress and make each other jealous. I don't think it has anything to do with guys, which makes it a little pathetic. “It’s not like they're looking for our approval — they're looking for each other’s” Some even went further stating that if irritating people was a crime you would be behind bars… Think about it .. Does one really need anyone's approval ???                                                                                                                            
5.     Loving yourself is awesome and yes absolutely necessary but if you think people care about the subtle difference between your Monday make up and Saturday makeup you are delusional.                                                                                                                                            
6. Adding hashtags like #ugly, #nomakeup and #allnatural are not so subtle ways of fishing for compliments.. I hate to break it to you that everyone can see through your humble bragging.                                
7.        When you post perfect selfie we all know 20 awful ones you took before posting this one …                                                                         
8.      Do you really want to see yourself in a slideshow of most ridiculous selfies?? Your duck face is going to get you mocked don’t let it come to that you will regret it ..                                                                                                                                                                              
9.     You will lose followers.. One of the most embarrassing instagram truths unless you’re taking selfies in constantly changing locations (in an elevator one minute, next to a beach the next), then your face is not enough to keep people interested. And let’s be honest — you’re in your bedroom.                                                                                                                                                                 
10.     You should be embarrassed if you do this in public. If you ask someone, they would gladly take a normal picture of you that doesn’t cut you off at the shoulders. You’re more than a floating head, but all those close up shots of your face are starting to suggest otherwise.                              

But wait a second .. I haven't yet finished writing. There are many things said and done about girls clicking selfies..But hey what about men clicking selfies.. We do come across men who click selfies.. Am I right??? .. Having all said and done girls ....... 

Never date a guy who clicks selfies .. Sarcasm intended !!!

Like Nothing I've Seen ......

Leh - Ladakh is one destination which every traveler wants to explore .. Leh Ladakh was one of the destinations I wanted to visit and movies like 3 idiots, Tashan and Jab Tak Hai Jaan ...just added fuel to the fire .. So how did I get Leh'd, one morning I got a phone call from my friend, and the only thing that I remember is "Let's go to the most awaited destination " and I was up for it.

Leh Ladakh is one of the spectacular regions located in northern most region of India, which is praised across the globe as one of the most adventurous tourist spot in India .... We had an early morning flight from Delhi to Leh, and I must say the view that we get from flight has its own appeal. When you are about to reach Ladakh the very first glimpse of snow laded mountains brings a twinkle to your eyes. It felt as if these mountains (yes the ones we see in movies) are greeting you, such a warm welcome .. Well isn't it ?

Shanti Stupa

My visit to  Ladakh was in August and the climate was cold or rather freezing cold for Mumbaikars and it is very important to take rest on the arrival since your body needs to acclimatize with climatic conditions. So following the instructions I decided to laze around and take small tour of my hotel. Evening was followed by visit to Shanti Stupa,overlooks the city of Leh and gives the best view of the entire city. Keeping it very easy since we had lots to experience in coming 7 days we kept the sightseeing in and around Leh to the minimum.....

Magnetic Hill

Day 2 started with a drive to Hermis monastery which is located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh. And then folowed by Magnetic Hill. The rare phenomenon of Magnetic Hill left me astonished, the hill possess magnetic properties which pulls the car uphill and passing aircraft increase altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. Meanwhile we also stopped at Gurudwara Pathar Saheb. I was already getting the feel of Tibetan culture while roaming in the local markets of Leh. There was one thing which I particularly noticed among st the localities was that there weren't much of horns happening while driving. It was very peaceful and not much of over taking happening (which we can't really expect in cities).

I was looking forward to next day which was to Numbra Valley via the World's Highest Motorable Road - Khardungla Pass(18380 feet). My day began very early since its a 6 hour drive from Leh and who wants to sleep when you are in Ladakh. Cameras on .. Ladakhi music on and I was all set for an overnight camping at Numbra Valley. While travelling to Numbra Valley, you can capture enthralling landscapes, mountain peaks and yawing valleys. On the arrival at Numbra Valley, we proceeded for a Camel ride. Yes one thing that took me by surprise was a Camel ride in Ladakh. Its one thing adventurers look for in Ladakh. I did not experience a camel ride since I am a very emotional animal lover but yes I did click some pictures .... There is one thing that I simply did not miss was a campfire and simple yet delicious food at Numbra Valley.

Highest Motorable Road In The World - Khardungla Top

Next morning was again a early wake up again .. Now you understand why they say rest as much as you can in Ladakh on arrival... We had our drive back to Leh halting at Diskit Gompa one of the oldest temples of this area, has a huge idol of Tsong - kha-pa crowned with Gelunpa yellow hat. And the added advantage while travelling back to Leh is we have to pass Khardungla Pass again and this time all we got was Snow .. Snow and lots of Snow.... Lucky me .. It was freezing cold and it's said that tourists are not allowed to wait for more than half an hour considering the extreme climatic changes at Khardungla Top.

Pangong Sarai

So you are already planning a trip .. Wait till I describe the most talked about and for obvious reasons- the most peaceful and undoubtedly the most beautiful place, I have visited till date  - Pangong lake... Ever wondered if the sound of a duck moving on water be distinctly audible ... Yes it is at Pangong lake. Your trip to Ladakh is incomplete if you don't stand knowing that across the turquoise waters lie the mountains of an even more isolated and gorgeous land - Tibet... On my way to Pangong Lake all I did was capturing one of the most beautiful shots and enjoyed the entire 6 hour long drive.. The location of our campsite - Pangong Sarai was one of its kind with mountains on one end and lake on the other... We couldn't ask for more ..  There is no better feeling than lying on the grass, seeing meteors (you can ask for a wish too, yes again hindi movies inspiration)... While your way back to Leh you can capture some images at the same spot where the climax of three idiots was shot ...

Mesmerizing Pangong Lake

Our itenary didn't have much of activity on the second last day  .. So I decided to enjoy gentle rafting trip on the River Indus. It gives the best opportunity to enjoy natural beauty of the spectacular landscape and the feel of icy cold water splashing on your face was the perfect way to end my Ladakh trip.... On my way back home .. It was again All smiles and a trip which is a must for every traveler ...

There is so much to see, so much to cherish and you will definitely bring back unlimited memories ...
